Goose hunting in our area of North/Central Alberta, Canada is awesome. The density of our birds, both local and migratory, is high. We predominantly hunt geese in the mornings. We will generally target ducks in the afternoon, depending on the daily limit level of the group, as well as their preference. You will see almost all the subspecies of Canadian Geese. There are also several white fronted (Speckle Belly), Blues, Ross’s and Snow Geese.
Our spotters will be out in the A.M., after helping the guide with the decoy sets for the morning hunt. They will be spotting for the next day's hunts, as well as monitoring the travel routes of the birds and their movement. They will repeat the process in the evening for the next evening hunt. This allows us to constantly move our hunting fields and rotate the hunting pressure. In the past, this strategy has worked well with our operation.
Only employing experienced guides and spotters is key. Combined, our guides and spotters have over 40 years of waterfowl guiding. Their people-friendly personalities give them the advantage in working with both landowners and clients. To sum it up, we can provide excellent quality goose hunts on Canada geese and white fronts. The Blues, Snows, and Ross’s are icing on the cake, as they tend to normally arrive in large groups and our spotter will have us adjust according to the migrating birds. We will do our very best to get our clients in the best location to allow them to enjoy the goose hunting that Alberta is famous for. We look forward to seeing you experience this with us.
